Selling for People Who Started a Business, Not a Sales Career

October 1 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
$10

For Businesses in Operation Up to 2 Years

You started a business because you believed in something.  Now you have to convince other people to believe in it too, and that part feels harder than everything else you’ve done so far.  You are figuring it out call by call, conversation by conversation, and wondering if you’re doing it wrong.  This workshop is built for exactly that stage, and it goes beyond theory: you’ll practice what you learn through live roleplay, so you leave with real experience, not just ideas.

This workshop is for you if:

  • You recently started a business you believe in, but sales feel uncomfortable
  • You have no formal sales training
  • You hate the idea of being pushy or salesy
  • You want a simple, authentic approach that works

Topics covered:

  • Finding the words that explain why you’re different
  • How to have a sales conversation that feels like a real conversation
  • Live roleplay to practice what you learn in real time
  • How to spot the customers who actually need what you offer
  • Turning objections and hesitations into opportunities
  • Closing and following up to build lasting relationships

Speakers: Cynthia Marsh-Croll, Mid-Hudson Women’s Business Center Director, WEDC & Maureen Brivett, Business Counselor Mid-Hudson, WEDC
