The Women's Enterprise Development Center Inc. (WEDC) is a non-profit microenterprise development program, a Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Women’s Business Center, and a New York State Empire Development Corporation’s Entrepreneurship Assistance Center (EAC). WEDC helps women and minorities achieve economic self-sufficiency through small business ownership by providing high-quality business training programs and services, including one-on-one business counseling; assistance with microloan applications and assistance with the MWBE certification process. We serve both start- up and established business owners in Westchester County and the Hudson Valley. Our programs are offered in English and Spanish.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Database Manager (DBM) supports the WEDC staff and mission by advancing the research, analytics, reporting, and outcome measurement needs of the organization. The DBM is the primary role addressing analytic needs across the organization. The successful candidate will have experience in maintaining and building data capabilities, using data for making data-informed decisions, outcomes reporting, and providing technical assistance to non-technical staff. In addition, the DBM maintains and oversees data entry collection in multiple data systems ensuring data quality and integrity.
The DBM position includes the following key functions:
- Maintain multiple databases, trouble shoot problems and continually improving the accuracy and quality of the data and tools
- Create and maintain reports for outcome and grant reporting on a scheduled and ad hoc basis for funders including the County Office for Women, the Small Business Association and NYS Office for Economic Development and multiple private foundations
- Continually test programs, databases, and reports to correct errors, and make necessary improvements/modifications to the tools and the training materials
- Leads/manages and maintains Oracle CX Sales and Eloqua to further advance data automation, workflow management, and analytics tools
- Identifies growth potential within the CRM & databases
- Provide feedback and recommendations to staff on ways to improve the software, reporting and data quality
- Update client information in databases in a timely matter
- Train end users, answer questions and continually work with WEDC team to improve workflows
- Able and willing to participate in events outside traditional work hours
- Understanding that at times the DBM might be called upon to support other WEDC activities given the small staff size and high-growth environment
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, business, data science or a related field plus 2 or more years of relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Excellent attention to detail and timelines.
- Experience with Office 365, database administration, web-based applications and reporting. Technical and data manipulation experience with Excel (PIVOT tables) and other outcome tracking applications.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files, records, designing forms, and other office processes.
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of multiple solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Bilingual preferred - English/Spanish

Compensation
- Generous PTO. Salary Range $35,000 – $45,000
Schedule and Work Environment
- This position is 4 days/week, partially remote, with an expectation of 32 hours/week position. WEDC promotes a culture that affords flexibility and calendar control.
