Leadership Grant Application

The Anne M. Janiak Leadership Grant Award program was established as a tribute to Anne M. Janiak, the founding CEO of WEDC, in recognition of her 25 years of service in advancing women’s entrepreneurship and leadership skills.

The purpose of the Leadership Grant Award is to recognize clients who are actively working on their businesses and who are also developing and demonstrating leadership skills and involvement in their communities.

The grant awards are up to $5,000 and are based on WEDC's discretion. Up to three grants will be awarded each year. WEDC selects the grant winners from a pool of applicants each year in July and announces them at the WEDC Gala in September. On occasion, WEDC may consider other grant applications during the year.

To nominate someone (or yourself) for the Anne M. Janiak Leadership Grant Award, applicants must complete the basic application below and select one of the two personal essays questions to write about (500 words or less) and detail what the grant will be used for as well as the grant amount requested.
