First Steps Program
If you want to find out if small business ownership is right for you and want to make sure your personal financial situation provides a sufficient foundation, then begin your training with this two-part series.
What’s covered: This program is designed to introduce you to small business ownership. Learn about the characteristics of a successful entrepreneur and what it takes to run your own business.

60+ Hour Entrepreneurial Training Program offered in English and in Spanish (ETP)
If you have an idea for a business, some experience in the field, and basic computer skills, then this course is right for you. Contact us for additional information and to register for our spring 2015 program. Apply on-line or Download an Application Here! What's covered: This 60+ hour course teaches you how to write a business plan. Instruction includes success planning, market planning, cash flow, operations, legal issues, marketing and social media. Participants prepare detailed and professional business plans and present them to an executive panel that includes representatives from the business and banking sectors. The next cycle will begin on March 3, 2015 in White Plains. Most classes will be held on Tuesday evenings.

Peer Exchange Program (PEP)- for recent graduates of our 60 Hour Program
After graduation, continue to move your business forward by signing up for our PEP program. Join us for facilitated peer support, twice a month for four months. Begins March 2015. Please contact

Business Opportunities and Success Strategies (BOSS) Program - for business owners who have been in operation for more than one year
Develop structured and specific ways to strengthen and grow your business and plan for short term and long term goals. Next session will begin soon.

WEDC’s Veterans’ Entrepreneurial Training Program (VET) - scholarships are available for female veterans with a passion for entrepreneurship and the desire to start or grow their own businesses.
